On Monday December 3rd, Kewley began rehearsals for the motion picture THE LEGEND MAKER.
Written and directed by veteran film-maker Ian Pringle, the cameras will roll on the feature film at the start of January 2013.
Pringle’s previous pictures includeWRONG WORLD – nominated for the Golden Bear at the 1985 Berlin International Film Festival; THE PLAINS OF HEAVEN;THE PRISONER OF ST. PETERSBURG– screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival;and the French-Australian co-production ISABELLE EBERHARDT which starred Peter O’Toole and French actress Mathilda May. He also co-produced the multiple AFI Award winning 1992 Russell Crowe picture ROMPER STOMPER.
Kewley will star in the film alongside Tony Nikolakopoulos and Danielle Carter.
The film will also feature actors including Steve Mouzakis, Adrian Mulraney, Fletcher Humphrys, Sachin Joab (currently starring in Neighbours), Logie nominee and AFI Award Winner David Cameron and Michael Vice (Underbelly: The Golden Mile).
Set in Melbourne and Crete, THE LEGEND MAKER will be edited by AFI Award Winner Ken Sallows (Chopper, Proof, Gettin’ Square, Malcolm), and supervising Director of Photography will be AFI Award Winner Ray Argall (Look Both Ways, and Ian Pringle’s Wrong World for which his cinematography was also AFI Nominated).
