On Monday August 11th Kewley attended a special screening of episodes 1 & 2 of Simon Burke’s ne
w Foxtel mini-series DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND.
The mini-series is the ’35 years later’ sequel to the multi award-winning 1975 movie THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND directed by Fred Schepisi, in which Kewley made his professional acting debut.
Although Kewley has caught up with both actor Simon Burke and director Fred Schepisi on separate occasions over the years, this screening was the first time all three had been together, in the same place, at the same time, in 39 years!
THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND was a terrific film, and DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND, the mini series, is wonderful too. It premeires on Foxtel in Australia in early September 2014.
