On Monday January 7th Kewley returned from holidays to commence principal photography on the feature film THE LEGEND MAKER.
The film is written and directed by veteran film-maker Ian Pringle whose credits include WRONG WORLD – nominated for the Golden Bear at the 1985 Berlin International Film Festival; THE PLAINS OF HEAVEN; THE PRISONER OF ST. PETERSBURG – screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival; and the French-Australian co-production ISABELLE EBERHARDT which starred Peter O’Toole and French actress Mathilda May. He also co-produced the multiple AFI Award winning 1992 Russell Crowe picture ROMPER STOMPER.
Kewley stars as ‘Roy Rogers’ alongside Tony Nikolakopoulos and Danielle Carter, with supporting roles played by Steve Mouzakis, Adrian Mulraney, Fletcher Humphrys, Sachin Joab (currently starring in Neighbours), Logie nominee and AFI Award Winner David Cameron and Michael Vice (Underbelly: The Golden Mile).
Set in Melbourne and Crete, THE LEGEND MAKER will be edited by AFI Award Winner Ken Sallows (Chopper, Proof, Gettin’ Square, Malcolm).
